WELCOME TO HOWE & CHARNWOOD LODGE, A FREEMASONS’ LODGE IN LOUGHBOROUGH, UNDER THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED GRAND LODGE OF ENGLAND.

The Howe and Charnwood Lodge (Number 1007 in the Register of the United Grand Lodge of England) is the oldest lodge in the Leicestershire town of Loughborough.

The Howe and Charnwood Lodge operates under the jurisdiction of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Leicestershire and Rutland

We meet at the Masonic Hall, Orchard Street, Loughborough on the 4th Tuesday during the months of September to March. Meetings begin at 6.00pm. (Please note that the December meeting date/time may be changed due to the Christmas holiday period)

We also enjoy numerous social events to which not only members, but their family and friends are most welcome. They are a great way for potential candidates to meet members of the lodge, ask questions informally, view the Temple where we perform our rituals, and just see how much fun being a Mason can be.

We are justifiably proud of our strong commitment to charitable giving to Masonic and non-Masonic causes and to the local community of which we are a part.

We are a friendly lodge and welcome visitors from all over the country. So, if you are already a Freemason, and happen to be in the vicinity of Loughborough, let us know by clicking   to go to our contact form to be assured of a great evening.

While some lodges concentrate of specific interests, Howe & Charnwood prides itself on having members from across the board.  Whatever your profession, hobby, or interest, there will be someone in the lodge with whom you can engage.

We are always pleased to welcome new members to the Fraternity. To learn more about our lodge or to arrange an informal chat to discuss the next steps you may take, please contact us by either clicking here.

It really is that simple.
